Australian speed guns Mitchell Starch and Josh Hazlewood returning from their injury and all set to return to domestic cricket to get much important match fitness before much-awaited Ashes series against arch-rivals England.
Both the bowlers was not the part of the Australian squad for ODI and T20I series against India in India. Starch gain an injury against in test series against India in March April, while Josh Hazelwood was injured in recently concluded 2 match test series against Bangladesh.
Pat Cummins also rested from three T20I against India in order to give enough rest to the fast bowler before the Ashes series.
“The last few times I’ve been injured I’ve been rushed back too early for tournaments,” Starc said.
“The same thing happened in the Champions Trophy, so to have a nice even lead-in to this summer has been good.
“It has been a silver lining to spend a lot of time in the gym and not rush back into bowling and make sure I haven’t got any niggles leading into a very important summer,” he said further.
The first test of the Ashes series will be played on 23rd November in Brisbane and it is good for Australia that three of their prime fast bowlers have no injury before the Ashes.
