The first one-day of three-match series between India and Sri Lanka is easily won by the Sri Lanka.
It was Sri Lankan bowlers who made their active presence in the match especially their fast bowler. Fast bowler Suranga Lakmal with his match-winning bowling figures of 10-4-13-4 won the Man of The Match award.
After winning the toss, Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to field first on the track which supports the fast bowlers. Sri Lankan bowler bowled really well and never allow Indian batsmen to settle down. They took wickets in the regular interval. Only three Indian batsmen scored two digit number. No batsmen except MS Dhoni face Sri Lankan bowler and thus throw their wickets in regular interval.
India eventually bowled out for just 112 runs. Mahendra Singh Dhoni score brilliant 65 runs and he was the only batsman who stands and delivered.
Sri Lanka just needs 113 runs to win the first ODI and all they want was just a small partnership. Tharanga scores a good knock of 49 runs while Mathews and Dickwella remain unbeaten on 25 and 26 runs respectively.
Bhuvneshwar, Hardik, and Bumrah take 1 wicket each and Sri Lanka won the match by 7 wickets.
