Sri Lanka has announced its squad against Pakistan for the 5 match ODI series. Star fast bowler Lasith Malinga has been dropped from the squad while allrounder Angelo Mathew still not fully fit for the ODI series.
Lasith Malinga is not in his prime form since his comeback in the International cricket. He has ordinary series against India recently and that is the main reason that selector dropped him from the ODI squad against Pakistan.
Allrounder Angelo Mathew is still not recovered from his calf and hamstring injuries. Due to his injury, he is failed to make it into the ODI squad.
Right-handed batsman Chamara Kapugedera and leg-spinner Jeffrey Vandersay have been retained in the side for the ODIs. Test skipper Dinesh Chandimal has also been named in the squad.
