Pakistan’s National T20 Cup is set to clash with BPL and Global T20 league this year, which means the participation of Pakistani players is in doubt in abroad T20 leagues Pakistan’s National T20 Cup is Scheduled to begin from November 4-19, these dates will be clashing with both T20 leagues Bangladesh Premier League and Global T20 league in South Africa, while BPL starting from November 2 and its final will be played on December 10 and Global T20 league will start from November 3 to December 16.
With the PCB strongly indicating that the National T20 Cup would “take precedence over global leagues” around the world, the possibility of around a dozen Pakistan players being unable to fulfil global T20 commitments looks very real.
At least seven Pakistani players were expected to take part in the Global T20, with Wahab Riaz, Umar Akmal, Mohammad Nawaz, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hafeez, Anwar Ali and Imad Wasim signed by various franchises. While the player list for the BPL is not yet out, Junaid Khan and Shahid Afridi had confirmed that they would take part in Bangladesh’s premier T20 competition.
Pakistani players have their own charms in the league cricket so if the players not allow to participated in BPL and Global T20 League, then its a big loss for these league.
