Hardik Pandya comes out to be the most promising factor in Indian cricket. The time is good for Hardik Pandya as he performed beautifully both in batting and bowling.
He played outstanding innings when India was 87-5 and also took 2 crucial wickets in the first ODI against Australia. In the third ODI, he again played the match-winning inning of 78 runs and won Man of the Match.
He received praise from all around, former Indian skipper Rahul Dravid believes that Hardik Pandya grabbed the opportunities very well and play very smart cricket according to different situations in the ongoing one-day series against Australia.
“A good example about Hardik from my perspective is, he’s willing to play situations and not just the natural game we often speak about. Credit goes completely to him. It’s not about playing just the one way you want to play. He’s the one who has actually turned his career around,” Dravid was quoted as saying by ESPNCricinfo during India A’s unofficial Test against New Zealand A in Vijayawada.
“If he bats at four, he bats in a particular way. If he bats at six, he bats in a particular way. Tomorrow, he may bat at 80 for 4, like he did in the first ODI with Dhoni. That shows maturity and that’s what you want to see,” he said.
“This concept of ‘play your natural game’, which I hear all the time, frustrates me because there’s no such thing in my belief as ‘natural game.’ It’s only about how you play different situations,” he said further.
Hardik Pandya is now known for his six hitting skills. He played brilliantly against spin particularly. He is the leading run scorer in the ongoing One-day series against Australia.
