The second test of 2 match series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be playing on Friday 6th October. Sri Lanka is in commanding position as they won the first test by 21 runs.
On the other hand, Pakistan desperately needs to win this test so as to level the series.
Rangana Herath is the key man for Sri Lanka again as it is only because of Herath that Sri Lanka registered a stunning victory over Pakistan in the first test in Abu Dhabi.
He took 11 wickets in the match and won the man of the match award in the first match.
Pakistan certainly has some question ahead of the second test. Their batting lineup looks inexperience without Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan. It will be Azar Ali and Asad Shafiq again where Pakistan batting revolves around in the day-night test.
Sarfaraz Ahmed also understands how dangerous Rangana Herath is as the left-arm spinner completes his 100 wickets against Pakistan itself.
“We will do our best to be more positive against Herath,” said Ahmed.
Pakistan never loses a series in UAE since after they adopted UAE as their home ground.
“We have never lost in UAE so it’s also important to keep that record intact,” he said further.
Chandimal also understands the importance of this series and never take Pakistan lightly.
“We need to be at our best again and can’t underestimate Pakistan because we know they are a good team,” said Chandimal before the 2nd test.
This is the first ever day-night test match between Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Also, it is the first-day night test for Sri Lanka while Pakistan played their first-day night test against Windies.
