The new year comes and so the new challenges for the team India on the cricketing field. The year 2017 was a huge success for team India with complete home dominance. Team India did not lose a single test or ODI series in their homeland in 2017. They also reach the final of Champion trophy in England. Currently, they are the number 1 test side in ICC ranking.
But year 2018 comes with far more challenges. Indian Cricketing Team will have several important and tough aboard challenges in this year. They have to face South Africa, England and Australia on their home grounds and the first major tour is the South African tour that starts from Friday 5th January 2018.
Team India already reached South Africa and the tour will begin with the first test in Cape town starts from tomorrow. The challenge is so big for the world’s number side in the test as they have to prove themselves in the testing conditions of South Africa that help fast bowlers.
The green top is expected in the first test. Indian batsman Cheteshwar Pujara told in the press conference that Indian team has no problem in facing pace and bounce in South Africa. He also bets on Indian bowlers for the success in South Africa.
For the home team, Dale Steyn and AB de villiers returns to the South African team but Steyn miss the playing XI for the first test against India. Rabada and More Morkel along with Philander will be the three fast bowlers for South Africa in the Cape Town test. Philander was confident of doing well against the number 1 side in the test.
This match will be the first for Indian skipper Virat Kohli after his marriage with Bollywood diva Anushka Sharma. And it will be the test of Virat Kohli character in this tour as officially this is the biggest series of his captaincy career so far.
