The happy time for Indian cricket is continued. They beat Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka and never allowed them to win a single game. They win the ODI series by 4-1 against Australia. And now they won the first T20I of three-match series against Australia.
The second T20I will be playing on today at Guwahati. India definitely looking for winning this game and hence to take an unassailable lead in the series.
In the first T20, it was Indian bowlers all around who never allowed Australian batsman to make a big score in the match. And they only manage to score 118 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 18.1 overs, after DLS India were given a target of 48 runs in 6 overs which India wins by the ease with 9 wickets in hand.
Steve Smith is already out of the series due to the shoulder injury. So there will be extra pressure on standing skipper David Warner to win this match and make the series alive.
India has never lost a match in previous seven T20I against Australia. With the quality of Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, it will not be easy for Australian batsman to score some quick and big runs.
There is a chance of rain in Guwahati so team winning the toss wants to bowl first as in the case of DLS method, the team batting second have the advantage to chase the small total.
