The second test between India and Sri Lanka will start from Thursday and Indian team will aim to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in a three match series.
Virat Kohli and co are sitting pretty with a 1-0 lead having defeated the hosts by a record margin of 304 runs in the first Test match at Galle.
If India goes on to win this Test then this is the first time Indian team winning the successive series in Sri Lanka. Kholi’s team win by a margin of 2-1 last time in 2015.
In the pre-match press conference, Kohli on Wednesday asserted that fit-again Rahul deserves a comeback and will be back in action in Colombo. This means that Abhinav Mukund most likely to miss the second test.
On a green pitch in Colombo, regular captain Chandimal is making his comeback and most probably going in with three spinners. Rangana Herath has been confirmed to fit to play. Malinda Pushpakumara will make his debut in Colombo while Dilruwan Perera retains his place.
