There was excitement, there was passion, nerves and all cricketing actions in the third ODI between India and New Zealand and at last India won the game by 6 runs and so win the three-match ODI series by 2-1.
The third ODI between India and New Zealand was played at green park stadium Kanpur. It was the first day-night match in green park. After winning the toss, New Zealand put India to bat first. India did not get the good start as Shikar Dhawan departs for only 14 runs when the scoreboard was only 29.
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma start building the innings for India. Both batsmen put 200 runs partnership and this was the second instance when both Kohli and Rohit put 200 partnership together.
Rohit Score his 15th ODI hundred, he scores 147 runs with 18 fours and 2 sixes. Virat Kohli also scores hundred and it was his 32nd hundred in only his 202 ODI. He also becomes fastest cricketer who scores 9000 runs in ODI in his 194 innings, surpasses AB de Villiers who scored his 9000 runs in 205 innings.
India put a good total of 337 runs after 6 wickets. In response, New Zealand starts well with the counter-attack from Collin Munro. Martin Guptill once again fails to score runs and departs for 14. But Williamson and Munro continue the flow of runs for New Zealand. Both Williamson and Munro were trapped by the leg-spinner, Chahal. But New Zealand continues scoring runs with inform batsman Latham and Taylor.
But India bounces back in the last over especially with the help of Jaspreet Bumrah. Bumrah bowled beautifully and takes three wickets and only gives 47 runs in his 10 overs. Buvneshwar Kumar was expensive in the inning and gives 92 runs in his 10 over quota and takes only 1 wicket.
India wins the series by 2-1. Virat Kohli won the man of the series award with his two hundred in the series. After ODI, three-match T20 series will be played and the first match will be scheduled to play in Delhi 0n November 1st.
