The second test between Pakistan and Sri Lanka comes to an interesting mode. Pakistan able to take 5 wickets for 35 runs on day 3 of the day night test.
Quick left arm bowler Wahab Riaz proves his worth as he takes three of those five wickets of Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is now 35 for the loss of 5 wickets but they are still in the driving seat of this test match as the overall lead of Sri Lanka exceeds 250 runs and they still have 5 wickets in hand.
Earlier after Sri Lanka first inning total of 482, Pakistan team only managed to score 262 runs in their first inning total and that gives Sri Lanka a handful lead of 220 runs in the first inning.
It was only Azar Ali and Haris Sohail who shows some resistance in the first inning against the Lankan bowlers, but once Azar Ali out then whole Pakistan team bundle out on 262.
But in the second inning, it is Pakistan bowlers who bring back Pakistan in the game from nowhere specially Wahab Riaz who took crucial wickets of Karunaratne, Chandimal and Samarawickrama.
Yasir Shah takes another five wickets in the first inning and the pitch is moving considerably the fourth and fifth-day pitch is expected to help spinners more and with Rangana Herath in the team, there is a strong chance of a win for Sri Lanka.
On the other hand, Pakistan is on the verge of first test series loss in UAE after they adopted UAE as their home ground after 2010. Pakistan eagerly wanted to win this test and so save their record. But a difficult task ahead of them. Pakistan need to bundle out Sri Lanka as soon as possible on day four and a run chase of around 300 is better for Pakistan but their batsman has to show the intent to chase that runs against the quality of Rangana Herath in the spin-friendly track of Dubai.
