The first test of the Ashes series is not so far away but injury again hits the Australian team.
Star Australian fast bowler James Pattinson ruled out of the ashes due to the back injury. The 27-year-old fast bowler was on recovery to ensure his presence in the home Ashes series.
“Obviously I am extremely disappointed with this setback after just getting back into a good run of playing cricket,” Pattinson said.
“I’m especially disappointed to miss out on the possibility to play in a home Ashes Series. Over the next few weeks, I will discuss all available options available to me with medical staff, to work out the best plan to prevent this from happening again,” he said further.
Pattinson last played his test match against New Zealand in 2016. Since then he is away from International cricket. Mitchell Starc and Hazlewood also recovered from injury so it is a tough time for Aussie pacer before the Ashes series. The first match of the Ashes will be played on 23rd November in Brisbane.
