The rivalry between Australia and England is so eye-catching in the Ashes series. Both teams put their efforts to win the match at any cost as the level of competition is so high.
But in the end, Australia win the first Ashes test match at ease.
After three days of competitive cricket, it was Australia all around who top the game. England was nowhere in the second inning and Australia won the match by 10 wickets and take the important lead of 1-0 in the 5 match series.
In the first inning, England was in a good position at one time. They got 7 Australia wickets at around 209 runs and they had near about 100 run lead but it was Australia captain who shows his batting class once again and he with lower order batsman give Australia an important 26 runs lead in the first inning.
In the second inning, Australian bowler comes even harden than 1st inning. Hazelwood removes Cook and informs Vince within the lead that Australia takes in the 1st inning. Only England captain Joe Root score 50 plus score in the second inning of England. No other batsman was able to score big runs for England and eventually England all out for 195 runs and that means Australia need 170 runs to win the first game.
Australia starts well to chase the small total of 170 runs. Both Warner and Bancroft played really well and does not lost their wickets and hence give Australia a 10 wicket win in the first Ashes test. David Warner remains not out on 87 while debutant Bancroft was not out on 82.
Australian captain Steven Smith won the Man of the Match award for his brilliant 141 not out in the first inning. The second Ashes test will be playing on 2nd December at Adelaide and if England really wants to remain in the series then they have to do better in the second test.
