Test match at its best in the ongoing Ashes series between England and Australia. Australia has won the second Ashes test by 120 runs and lead the five-match series by 2-0.
Chasing a mammoth target of 410 runs, England starts well. Cook and Stoneman put 50 plus opening standing. But when the opening pair looks dangerous then cook was out on the good delivery of Lyon. Vince again fails to score run and goes for only 15 runs. Stoneman also not score big runs after getting initial runs and out for only 36. But then Malan and captain Root takes the responsibility but Cummins delivery was too good for Malan to bowled him on 19 runs.
The morning session of day 5 for the visitors was even worse. England lost all their remaining wickets in the first session of day 5. Mitchell Starc takes five wickets in the second inning of England. Hazelwood and Lyon took 2 wickets each.
Earlier in the second inning of Australia, England bowlers did a really good job. They take regular wickets and thus Australia only manage to score 138 runs in their second inning. James Anderson takes 5 while Woakes takes 4 wickets. Overton takes only 1 wicket in the second inning.
In the first inning, Australia declares on 442 after the loss of 8 wickets. Shaun Marsh scores one of the best knocks of his career and scores a beautiful hundred in the second inning. Australia bowlers also did a good job and they restrict England to 227 runs in their first inning.
Australia now leads the series by 2-0 and 3 matches still left in this series. The Third test of five match series will be played on W.A.C.A. Ground, Perth from 14th December.
